A more parent-friendly workplace
Support the person behind the return-to-work date.
Parental leave ends on a calendar. Feeding, recovery, and family adjustment follow a different rhythm. An employee may be ready to reconnect with their team while still learning how to pump comfortably, coordinate childcare, and get through a workday with a new routine.
Your company can make that transition easier to navigate. A thoughtful lactation program connects the physical space, practical education, and individual support parents need. Liz brings a calm, direct approach to these conversations, helping employers move from good intentions to clear next steps for the people coming back.
Ways to work with Liz
Build support around your workplace.
01
Pumping spaces that work for parents
A room is only helpful when parents can actually use it. Liz can help your team think through a comfortable pumping setup, privacy, seating, a practical surface for equipment, access to power, and the everyday steps between pumping, cleaning, and storing milk. The goal is a space that fits the people using it and the way your workplace operates.
Bring Liz into conversations with facilities and workplace experience teams before you open a new pumping station or refresh an existing room. Together, you can identify practical friction points, such as confusing access instructions, shared calendars, or uncertainty about where supplies belong. Equipment purchases, construction, and facilities work remain with your business and its chosen providers.
02
Breast-pump education and workshops
Help parents understand their equipment before their first day back. Workshops can cover pump types, parts and assembly, comfort, flange-fit questions, cleaning routines, milk storage, and preparing a pumping bag for the workday. Sessions give parents space to ask everyday questions without having to figure everything out between meetings.
Choose an educational focus that fits your audience: expecting parents preparing ahead, employees returning from leave, or a parent resource group sharing experiences. General education can be offered to a group, while personal feeding concerns and individual pump assessments belong in a private consultation. Explore Liz’s workplace workshops for more about educational topics.
Returning to work changes the rhythm of feeding. Liz helps parents think through pumping opportunities, commuting, caregiver handoffs, equipment preparation, and how to build a routine around their own feeding goals. A useful plan starts with the parent’s actual day, including the parts that are unpredictable.
For a parent in technology, that may mean planning around a recurring standup, a long product review, an office commute, or days spent working from home. Individual guidance can help the parent prepare questions for their manager and recognize when their routine needs adjusting. Plans are personalized rather than built around one schedule for everyone.
04
HR support through major family transitions
Give your people team a clearer way to connect pregnancy, parental leave, returning to work, and ongoing lactation support. Liz can help HR, benefits, and employee experience teams identify where parents need education, how they can find support, and which questions should move into a private appointment.
This can include planning educational touchpoints before leave, preparing parents for their return, and making support easier to find after they are back. Managers can benefit from a clearer understanding of the practical experience of pumping at work. Your HR and legal teams remain responsible for employment policies and workplace requirements; Liz contributes lactation education and practical parent support.
From leave to everyday work
Connect the moments that matter.
For technology teams, support needs to fit real work: focused project time, shared calendars, hybrid schedules, and changing priorities. Start with the transitions parents experience, then decide where your company can make getting help simpler.
Before leave
Introduce available support early, so parents know whom to contact and can prepare questions before their baby arrives.
Before the return
Connect pumping education, space access, and planning so the first week back has fewer unknowns.
After the return
Make it easy to find individual lactation support when a parent’s feeding needs or work routine change.

Planning support for your team
Who is corporate lactation consulting for?
This service is for employers, HR and benefits teams, workplace experience leaders, facilities teams, and employee parent groups. It is especially relevant when your company is opening an office, reviewing pumping spaces, planning parental benefits, or looking for a more thoughtful way to support employees returning from leave. You can inquire about one workshop or a broader combination of services.
Can we hire Liz for just one part of our program?
Yes. Start with the need you already know: a pumping-space discussion, breast-pump education, a return-to-work workshop, or individual lactation support for employees. You do not need a fully designed program before reaching out. Liz can discuss the audience, goals, and scope with you so the proposed support fits your team.
Can the education support English- and Spanish-speaking parents?
Liz provides lactation care and education in English and Spanish. Let her know which languages your employees prefer when you inquire, along with the size of the audience and the topics you want to cover. This helps shape a session that parents can understand and use with confidence.
How do company workshops differ from private consultations?
Workshops provide general education and shared learning. Private consultations focus on an individual parent’s feeding history, questions, and goals. Parents should not need to discuss personal health details in front of coworkers to get help. If your company wants to offer individual support, discuss a separate appointment pathway with Liz as part of your inquiry.
Does this certify our business as baby-friendly?
The focus is a more welcoming, practical workplace for parents and families. This consulting service does not provide a formal Baby-Friendly designation, a legal compliance certification, or an employment-policy review. Share your goals with Liz so she can help your team identify the lactation education and practical workplace support that fit your setting.
How do we request a corporate consultation?
Email Liz with your company name, location, approximate audience size, preferred timing, and the support you are considering. Please leave employee medical information out of the initial email. Corporate scope, fees, format, and scheduling are discussed directly. All consultations are by appointment only, Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 8 PM Pacific. Sundays are closed.
